Properties of Gases
Basic Gas Laws:
- Involve pressure( P ), volume ( V ) and temperature ( T ) ONLY
- The temperature is measured in kelvin, there is no degree sign for kelvin.
- When converting from celcius to kelvin just add 273!
- Zero or negative volume/ pressure CANNOT EXIST
- ALL laws except charles involve pressure.
- STP = Standard Temperature and Pressure
- When at stp all the units are equal so 1 atm = 760 mmHg
- You will use this to convers some unite of STP to another unit.
- Volume is measured in militers (mL), Liters (L) and cubic centimeters (cm^3)
